A practising veterinary reproductive specialist, founder of the Halyna Chernychko Veterinary Centre and lead lecturer at the School of Veterinary Reproduction.

Her work combines clinical practice, research and education for veterinary professionals from across Ukraine.

Piometra. Suppurative inflammation of the uterus

Suppurative inflammation of the uterus is an infectious and inflammatory disease characterized by purulence accumulation in the uterine cavity and inflammation of the endometrium. This pathology mostly occurs in elderly animals (older than four-five years) but there occur cases even at a younger age (beginning from four months). This pathology may be heterospecific and it varies among patients depending on the chronicity of the disease. Piometra may occur in any breed of dog or cat specimen.

I ended up at the clinic by chance after getting a referral to an ultrasound technician. While my cat was getting an ultrasound, I noticed the doctor, who began treating my kitty with great care. She is the first doctor, Khrystyna Lebedyk (a specialist in feline diseases), who, after five years of taking my cat to various veterinarians, showed genuine concern and subsequently prescribed a treatment that brought my cat back to life. She doesn’t just prescribe treatment—she also consults with other specialists to ensure the treatment is administered correctly. She’s caring, gentle, and always concerned about not causing the animals any pain. She even gives the animals treats so they won’t be afraid. I brought my second cat to her as well, and I haven’t regretted it. I have an albino cat. He gets sick a lot, but with Khrystyna Lebedyk, we’ll get through it all—because the vet messages me every day to ask about my cat’s progress and asks me to provide feedback. I highly, highly recommend this vet if you want great results ♥️♥️♥️

I was deeply moved by Dr. Kristina’s attitude—both in terms of her dedication to her profession and on a human level. Maybe people don’t mention this in reviews, but after meeting Kristina, I wanted to truly live—not just exist—and I wanted my eyes to sparkle with the joy of life, just like hers. Unfortunately, we (most people) are so caught up in the rat race that for many of us, our eyes have long since lost their sparkle—we’re stuck in constant stress, depression, and a loss of meaning in life and our path… But Christina is truly on fire with passion for life and for what she does. And yes, she’s the only veterinarian in my life who immediately jumped in to translate and search for foreign articles about my Lenchik’s illness

The clinic is small and located in an industrial area, BUT! The service is excellent, the care is prompt, and the verbal consultation exceeded all my expectations. On March 19, 2025, we brought our Yorkie to a consultation with neurologist Valentina Oleksandrivna Pavliuchenko—a very professional and attentive doctor. We were prescribed a treatment plan, so we’ll be following through with it.
